Real Estate agents need to take breaks in order to rejuvenate and enjoy this beautiful world we live in.  Sometimes to do that it helps to get away!  Being with nature for me helps to clear my mind from negative stuff and focus on the positive. The world is a better place when we take time to appreciate all we have.

Recently I decided that it was time to go on a needed vacation when a good friend invited me for her birthday celebration to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  It has been quite a few years since I took more than a 3 day getaway! Life and work  have been very busy for me and vacation just hasn’t happened!

It was so great to get away and relax from all the everyday things I do! This was a 5 day getaway! I went with some girl friends and we had a great time. Can’t wait to do it again.

We saw wildlife moose and bear! We did lots of shopping in the gift shops and stores, my husband definitely could not have taken that!

We saw a big old moose drinking from the river up Logan canyon. On the tram ride at Teton Village we saw a moose family  and a mother bear with 2 cubs!  It rained some on this vacation so some of the trip consisted of sight seeing in the car.

I planned a 3 day vacation a week later with my husband. This turned out to be a 48 hour vacation!  A quick drive up to Bear Lake, about 2 1/2 hours from Salt Lake city where we live. Bear Lake was quiet. Very few people there. It is very small town up at the top of Logan canyon drive you can see Bear Lake. The most beautiful blue lake. Summers are much more busy ay Bear Lake.  It was nice and quiet  most places were closed for the season during our stay. We arrived at Bear Lake about 7:00 PM. There was few places to eat as far as dining due to the off season. The hours of the local restaurants , fast food establishments and grocery stores are short once you figure that out it can be a nice peaceful trip. The lake was peaceful we saw one sail boat on the lake.

Reddish brown and white feathers I was so amazed I forgot to take out my camera and take a picture.  There were big bird tracks and other tracks in the sand as we walked. We enjoyed the serenity of Bear Lake and the area going in the fall.

Realtor Texting on Vacation work Never EndsOne of the advantages to living in the greater Salt Lake  area is  we can travel 4 to 5 hours in any direction and have some very scenic fun hiking, boating etc. vacations.

Some places are trendy with lots of shopping while some places are more small town quiet.  We also have  out door wilderness camping areas within reasonable distances for quickie vacations. It can be hard to get away for a week for some people.  The 48 hour vacation was a bit short for me one more day would have been ideal, however if that is what I can get due to work and life I will take it! We also have great day hikes, fishing boating, skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing and more  located within 30-45 minutes of our homes in the city areas. The Wasatch Front(greater Salt Lake area) is a great place to live.
